Performing due diligence on potential business partners is very important and even more so when the entity resides in a different country. There have been several horrible stories of imposters in international business transactions.

You cannot engage in any business transaction with any previously unknown company in Ghana without getting a report from GCS. At GCS we minimize your risk of doing business with the wrong people/ companies by performing various levels of due diligence on prospective business partners.

International Exchange Program

Many US educational institutions have instituted exchange programs as one of the ways of enriching the cultural experiences and awareness of their students. These exchange programs have taken different forms and have involved many disciplines — faculties and departments. Many of the leading universities in the US have exchange programs to Europe, South America, Asia and Africa. In Africa, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa have become the destination of choice for many schools with Ghana leading the way because of its uniqueness and enviable record of political stability.

I've had the pleasure of working for Mr. Acquah at Ghana Country Services in July 2014 as a Sustainable Development Intern. During my time there, I was on a team tasked with developing a product prototype within the farming sector. Mr. Acquah coached us from product inception, market research, to prototyping the product. My project aimed to measure the accessibility to Solar Power Technology of low income groups. Through these meetings I was able to hear first hand about the programs that were being implemented to try to incentivize renewable energy technologies such as the Energy Commission’s National Rooftop Solar Program. These meetings were vital to the success of my project and had it not been for the work of Ghana Country Services I would not have been able to interview such high level officials.
