Business Background Checks

Performing due diligence on potential business partners is very important and even more so when the entity resides in a different country. There have been several horrible stories of imposters in international business transactions.

You cannot engage in any business transaction with any previously unknown company in Ghana without getting a report from GCS. At GCS we minimize your risk of doing business with the wrong people/ companies by performing various levels of due diligence on prospective business partners.

International Exchange Program

Many US educational institutions have instituted exchange programs as one of the ways of enriching the cultural experiences and awareness of their students. These exchange programs have taken different forms and have involved many disciplines — faculties and departments. Many of the leading universities in the US have exchange programs to Europe, South America, Asia and Africa. In Africa, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa have become the destination of choice for many schools with Ghana leading the way because of its uniqueness and enviable record of political stability.

Testimonials

Prosper Acquah was an excellent resource during my research project in Ghana! His company Ghana Country Services, helped connect me with sources for my project. I was researching the function and consumption of journalism in Ghana and how the history of the transatlantic slave trade is and isn't present within media. I was able to speak with and interview several prolific journalists working in Ghana and visit a widely popular radio station where I spoke with more journalists as well. I was able to tour the studio and watch a live show as well. Prosper was indescribably helpful, without his guidance, my research project would not have been as informed as it was and my time there wouldn't have been as unforgettable as it was. The connections he provided were exceptional. I am so glad he was able to guide my experience in Ghana.

I've had the pleasure of working for Mr. Acquah at Ghana Country Services in July 2014 as a Sustainable Development Intern. During my time there, I was on a team tasked with developing a product prototype within the farming sector. Mr. Acquah coached us from product inception, market research, to prototyping the product. In our time together, you could tell Mr. Acquah is deeply passionate about serving the people of Ghana in numerous capacities, and is committed to helping solve some of the country's most complex issues. It was inspiring to witness & experience on a daily basis. Working with Mr. Acquah & GCS curated my interest my interest/passion for product development & social entrepreneurship, a space I get to work in my current role. Today, at Facebook, I advise & consult national businesses on products/solutions to drive meaningful business growth. I am extremely grateful for my time at Ghana Country Services, under the direction of Mr. Acquah, because of how it directly influenced my career trajectory and instilled me with some very meaningful life lessons.

I would like to thank Mr Acquah of Ghana Country Services for his immense support and guidance during my three month independent study project in Ghana. He and his team were so supportive and caring throughout my stay, and it was just amazing how Mr. Acquah seems to be so well connected and had solution to every single problem that I had especially when I had an emergency medical situation in the Volta Region his swift response literally saved my life. His background (Wharton, Pepperdine & UCLA) and knowledge really helped me because of his insight into my project. I highly recommend Mr. Acquah and Ghana Country Services to anyone travelling to Ghana.

Ghana Country Services was instrumental in organizing meetings with representatives from the Ghana Energy Commission and the Electricity Company of Ghana to aid in my undergraduate research in the summer of 2016. My project aimed to measure the accessibility to Solar Power Technology of low income groups. Through these meetings I was able to hear first hand about the programs that were being implemented to try to incentivize renewable energy technologies such as the Energy Commission’s National Rooftop Solar Program. These meetings were vital to the success of my project and had it not been for the work of Ghana Country Services I would not have been able to interview such high level officials. It is because of this great work that I recommend Ghana Country Services.

“Etesen? I'm currently in the process of applying to MBA programs and have been using this time as an opportunity to reflect on the events that have had the biggest impact on my life. Consequently, the time I spent working for you at Proslin back in 2014 has been top of mind. So first, I wanted to thank you for providing me with the opportunity to learn more about your business and Ghanaian culture. Secondly, I was wondering if you might be able to put me in touch with Egyiri Blankson. I would love to catch up with him and thank him as well.”
